About Our Rescue
Save Our Shelter Dogs began in July of 2009. We are a small volunteer-only group of individuals with the common desire to help the "forgotten" dogs. We go into shelters and take the dogs that are next in line for euthanasia. We are not breed specific. We take them all. We provide vaccinations, heartworm testing, spay or neuters, heartworm and flea treatment, and additional medical care necessary for these foster dogs. We do not have a facility, so the dogs are kept in our homes and learn to be part of a family again while they await their forever homes. We have successfully placed over 115 dogs to date and have more than a dozen in foster care.
